IS MANUKA HONEY GOOD FOR ACNE?Topically, manuka honey has amazing antibacterial properties -- it's effective against many pathogens (including antibiotic resistant staph). You'd have to mix a mask (bentonite clay is wonderful), and use it no more than twice a week, if that, as they are VERY drying. You might try eating 1/2 tsp twice a day (or even every 8 hrs if possible). Wait at least 2 weeks to start seeing results. As a side note Manuka Honey also works to help balance the intestinal tract, and the skin benefits greatly when the intestines are working as they should. – Dr Molan |
